the Junk Angel was made for the 2021 ACT Costume Drama. The Costume Drama is a Competition in design put together by the Asheville Community Theater. It changes designers to think outside the box and work with unusual materials to create with.
The Junk angel came into being with our assistance springing from the chaos of creation given shape by our found materials. we took inspiration from two pieces of art at the Asheville Art Museum. For Every Women I Have Seen Parts of Africa’s Dream in Her Honor, 1993 by Lonnie B. Holley and Wall Circle 1,1972 by Sam Gilliam.
